A customer in the optical industry contacted our team at Licari Manufacturing regarding this custom precision machining project. The component highlighted here is a chassis used on an optical laser. The chassis is machined from 6061 aluminum to a surface finish of 16 RA. The part measures 3" in length, 5.625" in width, and 9" in height. A CNC vertical milling machine was used to create this complex part while holding tolerances as tight as ±0.0005". We are very versatile and have the capability to machine extremely complex components while maintaining tight tolerances and keeping costs very competitive.
